Sean Sleigh
VP, Permitting & Operations
Sean has over 30 years of experience in the energy industry focusing on natural gas transmission and storage operations and regulatory compliance and permitting. Sean’s focus for Black Bayou Energy Hub will be to assist in securing the FERC Certificate, lead the design process, and direct facility operations once the project is commissioned.
The first part of his career was spent at CNG Transmission Corporation where he worked as an engineer in PHMSA compliance and then in air permitting and compliance. He worked on the Lebanon to Leidy Project where he was responsible for securing the facility air permits and monitoring construction environmental compliance and then was a charter member of CNG’s Air Team working on compliance with the 1990 Clean Air Act. As the FERC Certificates Manager, he worked with FERC in the development of the prefiling process and prosecuted major certificate applications including the Greenbrier Project and the Cove Point LNG recertification and expansion.
Sean gained his operations expertise by running two-thirds of Dominion’s Fink-Kennedy/Lost Creek reservoir storage facilities in West Virginia and then by managing Crestwood’s Tres Palacios Gas Storage salt cavern assets in Southeast Texas.
Sean has an M.B.A. from West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, West Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia.
