Kris Johnson VP, HSE & Administration
Kris Johnson serves as Vice President of HSE and Administration, bringing more than 14 years of experience in the energy industry across health, safety and environmental leadership, human resources, and education and training management.
Throughout his career, Kris has overseen HSE, HR, training, and education functions for large, energy-focused construction organizations, building safety-first cultures that prioritize employee engagement, regulatory compliance, and effective talent mobilization. He has led HSE oversight on large-scale energy projects, achieving zero recordable incidents across multiple locations and guiding organizations to surpass one million work hours without a recordable injury on several occasions.
Kris has developed and implemented comprehensive HSE management systems and training programs aligned with ISO, OSHA, NEC, NFPA, ANSI, and other industry standards. His expertise includes risk assessments, hazard identification for high-risk projects, and the creation of industry-leading audit processes driven by proactive safety indicators.
As the most senior ES&H and HR executive at a major Louisiana-based operation, Kris led multidisciplinary teams responsible for safety, compliance, training, audits, recruiting, benefits administration, leadership development, and succession planning. He also introduced innovative tools, including a proprietary safety audit scoring system and a performance-based Safety Rewards program, reinforcing accountability at every level of the organization.
Under his leadership, organizations achieved record-setting safety performance, including maintaining a Total Recordable Incident Rate below 0.97 for seven consecutive years, multiple zero-recordable years, and sustained safety improvements that set new company benchmarks.
